Tap a workout from the main screen of Hydrow to expand the details.
Tap the Heart Rate Monitor option.
If any device is displayed in the Currently Connected section, tap the Disconnect button next to its name.
Put your ANT+ heart rate monitor (HRM) into pairing mode.
See your product's user manual for instructions.
Wait for your device to be displayed in the Other Devices in Range section.
This may be the name of your device or a serial number.
HRMs that require entering a PIN to connect (i.e. FitBits, etc.) are not compatible with Hydrow. If your HRM prompts you to enter a code during any part of this process, it likely falls into this category. See: Compatible heart rate monitors
An Apple Watch can only be connected as a heart rate monitor with use of a Watch Link accessory.
We recommend an ANT+ connection for best performance, but if you have a Bluetooth-only HRM you can still connect it using the steps here.
Tap Connect next to your device name.
Wait for pairing to finish. Your HRM will be listed in the Currently Connected section.
Tap the Back button in the upper-left corner of the screen to return to the workout detail page. It should now display your HRM device and current beats per minute (BPM).
Start your workout. You will see your heart rate display on the bottom of Hydrow's screen with your other stats.
Your HRM will reconnect to Hydrow any time you log into your profile.
Each person in your house can set up their own ANT+ connection; Hydrow will remember connections per profile.
