Troubleshooting FAQs:
I've subscribed, Why can’t I see any of the live rows and events on my calendar?
In many cases, this issue is caused by a lag in dynamic updates to your calendar. You can force an update by either refreshing your calendar and/or closing out of your calendar app of choice and reopening it.
Note: Especially with Google Calendar this can take several hours to show up, as they only sync every 6-8 hours.
Alternatively, if during the subscription process you did not accept all permissions for the Hydrow Live Schedule to access your personal calendar, the subscription would not have been successfully completed. In that case, try going through the subscription process again and pay close attention to selecting “Allow” for access.
My synced calendar is still behaving strangely or not showing live events to match what is on my Hydrow.
Try removing the calendar from your mobile device or computer and then re-subscribing using the link above. (under "how do I get started")
Why can’t I see the option to subscribe via Outlook on my iphone?
Unfortunately, Outlook on mobile iOS is not supported at this time.
I see this week’s live rows and events, but the calendar isn’t showing anything for next week. Is something broken with the calendar?
At Hydrow, our Athletes and filming team currently set the live row schedule a week at a time. This means that on Fridays, our team sets a schedule for the following Monday - Sunday time period. You can expect that the Hydrow Live Schedule will be updated with the new week’s live row schedule sometime by Friday evening prior to the new week beginning.
Why are there duplicate events on my calendar and how do I fix it?
It is likely that you have multiple subscriptions displaying in your calendar. Please try unsubscribing once and then refresh your calendar by closing out of the calendar application and opening it again. Instructions on how to unsubscribe for the calendar application you’re using can be found here [link to question below].
I want to make changes to the events in my calendar, but everyday the changes revert back, why is this happening?
The way our subscribed Hydrow Live Schedule calendar works is that the live rows and events are being added dynamically to your calendar. This happens daily and as a result, any changes you make to the events will be overwritten. We do this so that we can keep your calendar up-to-date with the latest events.
Why do you need so much access to my Google account?
In order for you to add a subscribed calendar to your Google calendar, it is Google’s requirement for you to give permission to communicate with your calendar through your Google account. Neither Hydrow, nor our provider Rokt, have any say over the type of access required by Google. This is not unique to this particular calendar, but to any calendaring software that is attempting to trigger a Google subscription.
Why do you ask for my email address when I go to subscribe?
We ask for your email address so that we can provide appropriate support. In particular, should we ever decide to switch calendar providers or build our own calendar tool, your subscription to the Hydrow Live Schedule will not be interrupted.
Why can I see the live rows and events on Apple Calendar and/or Google Calendar, but not on my calendar aggregator?
Unfortunately, calendar aggregators are not supported at this time.
How do I unsubscribe from the Hydrow Live Schedule calendar?
We list the steps for that in a separate article. Click Here
