Hydrow Training Camp is a series of six-week, multi-level programs on the Hydrow Rower. This article answers common questions about the program, which also apply to our four-week Endurance Camp program, too!
What is Hydrow Training Camp?
Each level of Training Camp is a six-week program designed to help you kick off a new season with strength and positivity.
Each program includes several workout sessions with our Athletes per week ranging from 20-45 minutes, as well as an assessment in Week 1 and Week 6 for measurable, meaningful progress.
Which Training Camp should I choose?
- Fitness Builder: Designed for those who are brand new to rowing – start your fitness journey here!
- Beginner: Good follow-up to Fitness Builder to keep building strong habits and technique.
- Sprint: Focuses on how to push hard, lower your split, and maximize your output for interval training, racing, and anaerobic exercise.
- Endurance: Practice working up to longer exercise sessions of 30-45 minutes and finish with a 60-minute workout in the final week! Endurance camp will help you unlock the aerobic benefits of rowing.
How do I join?
There is no registration or sign-up necessary! See also: Find Training Camp and other programs.
How is my progress tracked?
When you complete a workout, you will see a checkmark on that workout's thumnail in the library. We also keep tracking behind the screens so we can send personalized progress emails to keep you engaged and motivated. Weeks 1 and 6 also finish with an assessment challenge that you can use to objectively measure your performance and progress!
Do I need to join the Facebook group to participate?
No! A Facebook account is not required to participate in Training Camp.
While our Training Camp Facebook group is a great community forum to connect with other Hydrow members, it is a completely optional part of the program.
Can I use the Hydrow mobile app?
No. Training camp is not available via the Hydrow iOS/Android mobile app.
Are there swag prizes or other rewards for participating?
No; there are no swag prizes or reward for committing to Training Camp, but All progress you make as part of Training Camp will be counted towards your overall milestone rewards.
