There is very little assembly required for the Hydrow thanks to its sleek and durable design. We designed the box and packaging with the intention that customers would be able to put it together without professional assistance. We strongly suggest using two people to help with the assembly process below:

Steps for Setup:
- Pick a good spot for Hydrow. See: Tips for placing Hydrow in your home
- Cut the plastic straps and remove the top of the Box
- Remove Cardboard inserts around Hydrow's body.
Be sure to save the monitor box, the hardware box, and the large square cardboard block (A) from under Hydrow's tail. - Prop the front, curved part of Hydrow onto that cardboard block as shown. One person should lift Hydrow while another places the block in place.
- Prepare each of the four hex bolts by threading on one lock washer and one flat washer (in that order.)
- Using the provided hex wrench, attach the front legs to Hydrow. Be sure to have your partner Brace Hydrow stable during this process to prevent any wobbling or tipping.
Note: in the correct orientation, the wheels will be up in the air and the flat pads will rest towards the floor.- It works best to have have one person hold the feet in place while the other attaches the bolts.
- Tighten all four bolts thoroughly to prevent instability while rowing. Do not use power tools to install or tighten bolts as this can cause damage and increase the risk of failure.
- Carefully remove the cardboard block from under Hydrow so that it stands on all four legs. One person should lift the weight while the other slides the block out.
- While pressing the button on Hydrow’s neck, raise the neck to an upright position, and then release the button. You will hear a click when the neck is locked into place.
- You may need to lift the neck slightly before pushing the button to take weight off the lock mechanism.
- Remove the protective film from Hydrow’s top rail using the pull tab.
- Attach the Monitor:
- Have one person hold the monitor against the mount while the other places 4 screws.
- Plug the two cords extending from Hydrow’s neck into the back of the screen. Make sure to match each cord with the correct input.
- Have one person hold the monitor against the mount while the other places 4 screws.
- Plug one end of the power cord into Hydrow, just under the front feet, then plug the three-pronged end of the power cord into a power outlet. (See this article if the cord length is insufficient.)
- Now that the Hydrow has power, you can follow the steps on the screen to connect to WiFi, download any software updates, and then create a profile. Then you're ready to row!
Note: Installation is a two person process. Please read all safety information and instructions in the Hydrow Manual before assembly and use. Failure to do so could result in injury.
